Acai berries, since hitting the mainstream media, have made a tremendous impact in the modern day superfoods category. With informal endorsements from Oprah, Rachel Ray, and many other household name celebrities, it seems that acai berries have nearly taken over the world, but there is good reason behind that.

Again, youre probably going to pay more than what youre used to paying for fruit, but with the awesome healing properties of acai, can you really put a price on your health?

Look, there are tons of claims out there for the acai berry being the final solution and magical weight loss bullet that humankind has been seeking for centuries, but lets get real its not a magic bullet. Having said that, it is safe to say that including acai berries in your diet can greatly enhance weight loss simply due to the unusual load of nutritious substances it contains.

Acai berries are found in the jungles of South and Central America, and have long been a locally known healing fruit natural treasure. When Western civilization discovered the almost magical uses for the acai berry, the prices automatically went up and demand went sky high. Tons of different diets were launched overnight, and a lot of clever people made a lot of money from promoting it.

While there is nothing wrong with making money, there is something wrong with making claims that arent entirely accurate.
